Preheat the oven and bake frozen falafel balls according to package directions or make falafel from scratch.
Layer 4 pita bread wraps (or tortillas) between moist paper towels then microwave them for 20 seconds to warm and soften them. (You can also heat them in a warm dry skillet or over the open flame of your gas stove turning them with tongs.)
Wash and cut up cucumbers and tomatoes along with dill or any other fresh herbs that you choose.
Assemble the falafel gyros
Place 4 cooked balls of falafel in the center of a warmed pita or tortilla. Add sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, or any other veggies of choice, and top with a hearty drizzle of vegan tzatziki sauce. Serve warm.
Notes
Use the premade frozen falafel for the quickest and easiest way to make these wraps.
Be sure to warm the pita bread or tortillas before assembling the wraps for the best-tasting sandwich.
If you don't want to use tzatziki sauce, swap it out for my spicy tahini sauce for a delicious alternative!
