🥄 How to make a gyro spice blend

Step 1 – Add all of the spices to a bowl and stir well, or simply add them to a jar and give it a shake.

Step 2 – Use 1 teaspoon of spice blend for each cup of meat or meat substitute.

Step 3 – Store any unused spice mix in a cool dry place in a sealed container for up to 6 months.

  • For a low sodium Gyro seasoning mix, reduce the salt by 1/2 or omit the salt completely.

Gyro Seasonings

A Greek-style spice blend used to season Gyro meat or faux meat.

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground chili powder
