This vegan horseradish sauce is the perfect combination of creamy and zesty. You can use it as a sandwich spread, as a dip, or even to dress up potatoes. It’s made without dairy-based sour cream, yet it tastes like Arby’s horsey sauce and makes vegan roast beef sandwiches mouthwatering!

I made this sauce along with your roast beef recipe and made myself a mock Arby’s sandwich. Wow! It was amazing!

Ingredients and substitutions
- Vegan Sour Cream – this is the base of the creamy sauce. You can use any store-bought dairy-free sour cream or make your own using my tofu sour cream recipe. You can also swap the sour cream with some vegan Greek yogurt.
- Vegan Mayo – for a little extra creaminess and tang. Any brand will work or use my homemade vegan mayo recipe.
- Grated Horseradish – this is the type of horseradish that usually comes in a small glass jar and is found in the refrigerated section of the grocery store.
- Garlic Powder – you can also use fresh minced garlic.
- Salt – for flavor.
- Pepper – for a little extra zip. Fresh ground works best.

How to make vegan horseradish sauce
- Measure all of the ingredients into a medium-sized mixing bowl and stir well until combined.
- Use as a spread or a dip or any way you would use mayo or sour cream.
Serving suggestions
Use the sauce as a spread on vegan roast beef or serve it with a vegan pot roast or any vegan beef. You can also use it to dress up vegan mashed potatoes or deviled potatoes.
Pro Tips
- For super creamy horseradish sauce, place all of the ingredients into a blender and blend on high for 1 minute.
Storage
Refrigerate: This vegan horseradish sauce will keep well in the fridge for about 7 days in a sealed container.
Freeze: You can freeze any unused portion of the vegan horsy sauce in an air-tight sealed container for up to 3 months.

Can u substitute Horseradish powder instead?
That will probably work, but I haven’t texted it. I would add it slowly and taste it as you go since I’m not sure if it will work as a 1:1 swap for jarred horseradish.
